Everything you want to know about procurement of cloud services in public research sector: JRC lecture, tomorrow at 1 pm CEST

The European Commission has committed to establish an Open Science Cloud starting in 2016 for European researchers and their global scientific collaborators by integrating and consolidating e-infrastructure platforms, federating existing scientific clouds and research infrastructures, and supporting the development of cloud-based services.

Building on the experience of Helix Nebula, PICSE and HNSciCloud projects, Bob Jones, CERN, will explore the essential characteristics of a European Open Science Cloud with focus on innovative procurement of cloud services for research organisations.

The webinar takes place on the 26th of May 2016 at 1 pm CEST via the European Commission Joint Research Centre (JRC) streaming channel https://ec.europa.eu/jrc/en/lunchtime-science-lectures.
